File picture taken in 1975 by MGySgt John Valdez, The Last US Marine In Saigon, of a front View of the American Embassy located at 4 Dai Lo Thong Nhut in Saigon.The roof shows the helicopter pad used to evacuate personnel by CH-46 helicopters, including the last 11-Marines at 07:53 AM on April 30, 1975. Directly under the helipad were three incinerators used to destroy classified material. The roof helipad could only support CH-46s or smaller aircraft. CH-56s (Sea Stallion) helicopters landed in The Embassy courtyard.
